Written as part of a spontaneous series of 'crowd commissions' in 2020, 'An Ode to the Perfidious' is a brooding slow melody for flugelhorn. Plenty of opportunities for passionate, lush and lyrical playing. At about 3 minutes length, 'An Ode to the Perfidious' is a sophisticated slow melody to introduce to a flugelhorn soloist's solo repertoire.
