Details

'Atchafalaya' is a New Orleans Style tune composed by Michael League, included on Snarky Puppy and Metropole Orkest's combined album 'Sylva'. Featuring the band's lower brass and percussion sections, 'Atchafalaya' is a bombastic swing number capturing the energy of the surroundings of Louisiana's Atchafalaya River.

While originally featuring a solo for trombone and electric guitar, Jared McCunnie's arrangement features the brass band's first trombonist in soli with the soprano cornetist, followed by an explosive solo on flugelhorn.
