Details'Come, Sweet Death' was composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in 1736 as a melancholic solo for solo voice and basso continuo. Bach set lyrics of an unknown poet to his moving melody, the singer calling for death to come take them to heaven. The two verses are translated to English below:
