EntombedShortlisted in the 2019 Adelaide Wind Orchestra Composition Workshop, 'Entombed' was written in memory of the 2006 Beaconsfield Mine Collapse, that took the life of Larry Knight, and contained Brant Webb and Todd Russell in a precarious tomb for 14 nights.'Entombed' will challenge even the most experienced ensembles, with exposed parts right across the band, and demanding metric and rhythmic fragments.

Emerging from Chrysalis'Emerging from Chrysalis' was commissioned in 2020 by the Melbourne Rainbow Band to celebrate the band's 25th Anniversary. The piece celebrates a coming of age, like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon.
Furthermore, 2020 also marked the 250th Anniversary since the birth of composer Ludwig van Beethoven. There are three famous Beethoven works quoted through the piece: some more obvious than others! Just CauseTranscribed for concert band by Matt Klohs, 'Just Cause' originally for brass quartet is a slower, melancholic item, confronting sanctimony in Western Society. An adamant belief, often unfounded, can be repeated until its creator cannot differentiate between fact and opinion. When asked to justify their opinion, the creator replies "Just cos..." without properly considering why they stand behind their viewpoint.

BuckleyCommissioned by Richard Harvey, 'Buckley' is Jared's first major work for concert band. Originally written for brass band, 'Buckley' tells the tale of William Buckley. This 16 minute work is a fantastic programmatic test piece or own choice selection. Featuring quasi didgeridoo lines, solos for various members of the ensemble and tremendous ensemble passages, Buckley is an intense test for any ensemble, written by Jared at age 19.
