'Hare Hunting', commissioned by Mirella Giles, is a playful concert item evoking a bombastic brigade hunting for hares in a forest. Two hunting fanfares open the quest before the troop head into the forest. While intent on their success, the hunters are not prepared for the hares' playful spirits and bamboozling routes.
Listen out for explosive rifle shots, bounding fauna and the competing taunts! ​
