Details

'Stella' is English composer Henri Friedrich Hemy's (1818-1888) adaption of an English traditional folk melody from Northern England.
This arrangement (suitable for B+ Grade/2nd Section+) for brass band by Australian composer Jared McCunnie features three choruses, firstly with a flugelhorn solo. The second chorus features the cornet section, led by their Principal Cornet. Other members of the band are featured in the unravelling interlude, before launching into a grandiose tutti chorus.
