Written as part of a spontaneous series of 'crowd commissions' in 2020, 'Strike While the Iron is Hot!' is a characterful solo for Bass Trombone, featuring short cadenzas, flirtatious tango lines and finger clicks. At about 3.5 minutes length, 'Strike While the Iron is Hot' is an enjoyable challenge to developing a bass trombonist's solo repertoire.
