'Strike While the Iron is Hot!' is a jam-packed solo for bass trombone and brass band. Scheming and mischievous, the solo is inspired by the spontaneous seizing of an opportunity, maliciously or otherwise! There are surprises around every corner and a frantic race to complete the mission before the window closes.
'Strike While the Iron is Hot!' was originally composed for bass trombone soloist and piano accompaniment in 2020 as part of a series of 'crowd-commissioned' solos.
